Lagos NUJ Sets up Community Radio,Fair- Press Mag.

The Nigerian Union of Journalist(NUJ) Lagos Chapter has concluded arrangements to set up a community Radio and restore its Fair-Press Magazine in the overall interest of the journalism profession in Lagos State.

The Chairman of Lagos NUJ,Dr Oasim Akinreti who disclosed this its press week and 2nd year anniversary of his tenure said the community radio would be located in Badagry-Lagos and would be up and running this December.

He said the Fair Press magazine would be re-launched any moment from now,saying that his administration inorder to enhance the NUJ finances has invested in treasury bills and would be going into large scale farming .

Speaking on the issue of integrity in the media,Professor Raph Akinfeleye of the University of Lagos,who was the guest lecturer at the event ,urged the media to be sensitive on the issue of morality as moral values drives a lot in society,advising them to practice their trade in the interest of the public.

Funke Durodola of FRCN in her own contribution asked journalists to be fair,balanced and impertial.
