Ikeja ICAN Chairman:Ayoade Hands Over to Olalere

The change of baton of leadership was recently officially concluded at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria(ICAN)
Ikeja branch as the out-going Chairman Bayo Ayoade handed over to Mr. Oni Olalere who becomes the incumbent chairman of the institute.

The event which held at Airport Hotel Ikeja attracted top accountants in the state, including the National Coordinator of Independent Shareholders Association of Nigeria(ISAN), Mr Adebisi Adeniyi. Speaking at the event Olalere promised to ensure that the organisation is run during his tenure in the best interest of the accounting profession.

He, however, called for the support of all and sundry as no one can do it alone, stressing that collaboration and corporation are the two principles that will ensure that ICAN continues to succeed in Ikeja.

In his comments, ISAN helmsman Adeniyi praised ICAN members for the professional manner they organised the event and urged them not to depart from the part of ethics and professionalism, saying that things should always be done excellently in the overall interest of society.

He, however, said that his closeness to ICAN will not make ISAN deviate from their position that members of audit committees of companies do not need to have accounts background or qualification to serve in such positions in companies.
