Experts who graced the WorldStage Economic Summit which held at the Nigerian Stock Exchange(NSE) Tuesday in Lagos
disagreed on what the country’s economic direction should be given the current dynamics in global economy.

According to the lead paper Presenter Dr Tunde Adeoye,Associate Professor University of Lagos ,Nigeria should focus on Agricultural value chains,
Tourism and Solid mineral sector,saying that with the comparative advantage the nation have in these areas that it can easily achieve great economic
success.

However,the Executive Secretary of Telecommunication Companies of Nigeria(ATCOM),Teniola Olusola maintained that unless the country paid great heed
to powers of science and technology it may never be able to compete in the data controlled world in which we live in,stressing that even in the areas of tourism,agriculture etc you nee technological capacity to drive it adequately.

He called for the transformation of our educational infrastructure in order to get more youths to understand the secrets of modern agriculture.

Earlier in his welcome address,the CEO,World Stage Ltd,Mr Segun Adeleye had said that the whole idea of the summit was to find fresh avenues which the nation’s economy could be boosted up in the overall interest of the Nigerian people,given the changing landscape of technology across the globe.

According to him,there is need for us as citizens to see how high techs like block-chain technology,artificial intelligence ,internet of things etc can help our country leapfrog its limitations to a better place economically speaking.

Ahmed Mansur of Manufacturers Association Nigeria(MAN) was of the view that government is needed to play its role effectively for Nigeria to become better economically ,adding that inconsistencies in policies should be stopped for the nation to have a great future.

Adeoye had earlier stated that for agriculture to play its role and help us to diversify the economy that critical investment is needed ,saying that if all hands are on deck that the nation will turn out well.
