The proliferation of ignorance.
Monday, May 16th, 2016.
One of the saddest and most frustrating things in life is ignorance. There is so much ignorance all around us. Ignorance going all the way down from leaders to the followers and the followers dare not question what the leaders tell them and will not even do any form of research on their own.
When you therefore have a few people who question what is being taught, they are labelled as rebels. Many things that have been passed on from generation to generation are not the truth but people have accepted them as the truth and that’s why the Christianity we practice is difficult.
“And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.” Luke 15:31
The elder brother just like the legalist was an ignorant man. He never knew that the things he was trying to win his father’s approval for were already his. His mindset was that of a servant and that’s why he felt he could serve his way into his father’s approval and get what was already his.
The New Testament Saint is not God’s servant; he is God’s son. We have not only been adopted; we have also been accepted in the beloved and are joint heirs with Christ because we are the seed of Abraham. We should not try to please God to be blessed; we are already blessed. Let’s stop trying to win God’s approval in order to become whom He has already freely made us since over 2,000 years ago.
Point to ponder: – “The New Testament Saint is not God’s servant; he is God’s son.”
Verse to remember: – “As His divine power has given us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us to glory and virtue.” 2 Peter 1:3
Question to consider: – Are you living or trying to live like who you are?
Declaration: – I am God’s beloved son in whom He is well pleased because of Jesus.
